A Democrat group is claiming that the overwhelming response has been against the proposed rules. We didn’t even know that they were taking public comment.
Lt. Governor Burt Jones Let Us Down
This past session, Lt. Governor Burt Jones snuck through SR 203, a resolution creating a study committee on safe firearm storage. This may sound fine on its face, yet study committees are designed to find legislative solutions, not to twiddle one’s thumbs. Therefore, this would include things like financial extortion by the government to lock your guns away all the way to laws which would create criminal penalties for not locking your guns away. Egregiously, Lt. Governor Burt Jones appointed Senator Emanuel Jones as the Chairman of this committee. Senator Jones is a democrat, meaning the worst proposals possible are on the table.
This falls strictly at the feet of Lt. Governor Burt Jones. In the video below, Senate Rules Chairman Matt Brass responds to concerns by Senate Majority Whip Randy Robertson about the nature of this committee. Senator Brass quickly lets Senator Robertson know that this bill has been ordered by “people above you and I,” a clear reference to Lt. Burt Jones who is also the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Assignments which determines committee membership, and Senator Brass warns Senator Robertson that failure to comply would likely result is removal from the Senate Rules Committee. Rare that corruption is so public. These Senators may find the blatant corruption funny yet we, the people, are not amused.
We appreciate many things Lt. Governor Burt Jones has done, both as a State Senator and as Lt. Governor. However, we expect better than this. The people demand better.
Fani Willis Thinks She’s Above the Law
For nearly a year, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis has insisted that she is prosecuting President Trump and 18 others under a novel legal theory because, “nobody is above the law.” Yet, upon a lawful subpoena being issued by the Senate Special Committee on Investigations, Fani Willis defied a lawful subpoena and refused to show up.
Much like any Georgian who defied a lawful subpoena, Fani Willis must be held accountable. The Committee, the General Assembly, and the Lt. Governor better pursue all legal means to ensure that a lack of compliance with this lawful subpoena results in imprisonment for Fani Willis. Anything short of imprisonment would be Lady Justice taking off her blinders and picking favorites.

Now that we’ve gotten the bad news out of the way…what is there to feel happy about?
Despite the corruption, the lawfare by Fani Willis is failing!
“The judge overseeing Trump's Fulton County RICO case just ordered the dismissal of two criminal counts that were brought against Trump and one other count brought against the co-defendants He found that Fani Willis did NOT have the authority to bring the charges given that she's not a federal prosecutor.”
The Special Prosecutor charged with determining whether Burt Jones should be added to the indictment of President Trump and 18 others has now stated that he does not intend to bring charges. This Special Prosector was Peter J. Skandalakis, who happens to be the Executive Director of the Prosecuting Attorneys’ Council of Georgia. His declaration that Burt Jones will not be charged is essentially the Prosecuting Attorneys’ Council stating that the charges brought by Fani Willis are nonsense. This is a massive blow to Fani Willis.

Since we are moving forward towards the new world order changes are enviable and burt wants to be right there in position for governor. Therefore he needs to have a more progressive mindset to appeal to the folks that have been indoctrinated over the last forty years. There will soon be more of them than there are of us who still have common sense!
